Plunkett - Landscape Designer/Carpenter

C.D.L is very proud to welcome back Sean Plunkett to our team.  His skills in construciton have contributed to many of our successes over the years and we are excited to be working with him once again!

Nicole LeBlanc - Landscape Designer/Technician

Nicole is a graduate from the Humber College Landscape Design/Technician program.  In 2002 she joined C.D.L as a junior designer working hands on with our construction team.  Now  a decade later she is one of our principal designers also managing a landscape installation crew. Her passion for landscape construction has gained her the hands on experience and knowledge to execute innovative designs.  Inspired by nature, naturally her area of expertise is plant material. Her strong work ethic, dedication and vast knowledge in all aspects of the landscape industry have made her a significant asset to our team.

Mike Plunkett - Landscape Designer/Technician

With a heavy heart we would like to announce the loss of one of our most inspirational team members Mike Plunkett.

Mike was a certified Landscape Designer/Horticulturist/Greens keeper, who began his career as a Land Surveyor in the late 1970's.  As an Instrument Man, Mike ran level circuits for sub-divisions and road works.  Upon mastering his grading skills he became the lead landscape designer for C.D.L.  Since the 1980's he has been our principle designer.  His vast knowledge of the landscape industry has given him a creative edge and the ability to execute distinctive designs & builds.  He was also a master carpenter whose work can be seen all over Oakville.  Mike's ability to think outside of the box and produce distinctive designs had made him an asset to our team.  His attention to detail provided every customer with quality workmanship.

Outside of the landscape industry, Mike’s true passion lied in his music.  As a talented musician/drummer he spent many nights jamming in local pubs.  As a young adult he had the opportunity to travel in a band pursuing his love for music. During the summer months he devoted much time to his other love, golf!  He was always on the hunt for the next beautifully landscaped course.

Mike seemed to have a way with people winning the hearts of many every where he went.  He was the definition of “salt of the earth”.  A genuine, down to earth man who’s comedian like personality had people constantly choking on laughter.

He was a true inspiration to many of us here at C.D.L. and will be missed dearly.  Out of the mouth of  Mikey, “God Bless Ya”, buddy!!!
